Mission

To bring the beaches community together by creating an uplifting environment where we can serve our customers great-tasting coffee and even greater conversation. We love our neighbors, we love coffee and it shows in all that we do.

Vision

A true beach community where we can connect, engage and thrive together, making a positive change for our city and one another. All starting over a cup of coffee.

Manifesto

At Sago Coffee, we believe coffee is a lot like a community. The stronger it is, the more you feel it. That’s why we don’t just brew delicious cups of coffee to kickstart your day; We brew conversation, inviting real change and real solutions from real people who always have an open invitation to come in, sit down, and be themselves. We brew culture, blending backgrounds and viewpoints, mixing together ideas and insights that move us all forward. We brew company, welcoming the right blend of passionate people, to unite, work, laugh and live. We brew customers, patrons and brand ambassadors, who help carry our message and spread the word of who we are and what we stand for, together. We brew compassion, and a sense of caring, love and heart for friends, family and neighbors. So while brewing delicious beverages is very much big part of what we do here, we brew something much bigger than just that—at Sago Coffee, we brew community.

Cause

We believe in giving back in meaningful ways to the community we love to live and work in. Each quarter, we partner with a local cause to help make Jax Beach better. 25% of our profit goes toward our quarterly nonprofit partner. If you have a local cause you’d like us to partner with, be sure to let us know here.

This quarter, our partner is Hunger Fight. Hunger Fight’s literacy program provides age-appropriate books to preschoolers who attend daycares in low-income areas which are often book deserts. Illiteracy and lack of books affect graduation rates and hinder brain development. 90% of critical brain growth happens before kindergarten, that’s why it is imperative that we get books in the hands of these preschoolers and their families.

Hunger Fight’s Feed the Need to Read program delivers age-appropriate books to the daycares at no cost. These children, who face entering primary school below-grade reading level, are able to enjoy a new book every month, therefore gaining hope for a better future. Help us as we aim to decrease high school dropout rates and lower the number of adults in America who fall into the illiterate category.

For the price of a cup of coffee, YOU can provide a child with two brand new, age-appropriate books. Just $5 will cover the purchase and distribution of two books to preschoolers in low-income areas. Get started and partner with us here!
